The Project
In this section key research articles on topics related to Equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) in the workplace are summarised. These are articles that offer an evidence-base for how to achieve change within organizations.

The summaries are intended to help practitioners apply research in ways that make a positive difference in relation to the practical problems they face. Among the topics are diversity training, diversity climate, legal vs. business case for diversity, recruitment, managing performance, cultures of inclusion and equal opportunities...

There is a list of publications from which the summaries are drawn and suggestions for further readings as well as links to additional resources. Some of the publications are publicly and freely available but some are not because online scientific databases are still only accessible to students or staff of universities. If you are not affiliated to an educational institution you can get access by joining the Centre for Evidence Based Management (CEBMa). For more information visit www.cebma.org.

This section provides examples of interventions that are having apositive impact upon continuously improving EDI within the workplace.

Making change on EDI in the workplace is challenging and, despite much good intention and will, never easy. To help support organisations, we describe good practices in organizations by bringing them together in the form of themed case studies.

Case study themes include the areas of recruitment and staff development; disciplinary action; bullying, harassment and discrimination; leadership representation and positive organisational cultures.

The aim of the ESRC funded seminar series was to share knowledge, discuss ways forward and reflect upon the latest research and best organisational practices on how to get EDI at work to work and the challenges we still face.

Seminars revolved around the drivers of EDI, organisational EDI policies, practices and initiatives, leadership and culture, evaluating impact, and the future agenda of EDI.

One of the main outcomes of the seminar series was this EDI website enabling a continued dialogue between research and practice and making available state of the science research and best organisational practices for effective EDI management.

Materials in this section include short summaries of presentations, videos, and case studies from the seminars.
